Explorer Jacket Camel (J3004)

 

Some jackets look their best on the shop rail. This one looks better after a season on the road. The camel colourway is the warmest tone in the Explorer range – a soft tan that catches the light, ages into its own patina, and works just as well off the bike as on it. What it hides is a genuine touring jacket built to the highest current European safety class.

 

Protection you can rely on

 

The Explorer carries an AAA rating under EN 17092-2:2020, the top abrasion class for motorcycle apparel. That comes from a two-layer build: tightly woven cotton twill on the outside, backed across the whole garment by an XTM-Fiber lining that takes the energy out of a slide.

 

Level 1 protectors for shoulders and elbows are included and drop into dedicated internal pockets. All three protector positions – shoulders, elbows and back – are XTM protector ready, so you can step up to Level 2 armour or add a back protector at any point.

 

Weather protection

 

The cotton twill shell is treated with an inner beeswax coating, which seals the weave against wind and gives water resistance up to a 900 mm water column. It handles showers, spray and damp early starts without the clammy feel of a fully sealed shell. A wind flap backs the front zip, and the reinforced stand-up collar keeps the draught off your neck at speed. Multi-stretch fabric means the jacket follows you into a riding position rather than pulling across the back and shoulders.

 

Details that matter on the road

 

Four patch pockets sit on the outside with flat YKK press studs. The two lower ones are double pockets with side zips, so valuables stay put while the outer flap pocket stays easy to reach with gloves on. Two more zipped pockets sit inside, left and right. Cuffs adjust to close over or under gloves, and the long sleeves with straight shoulder cut stop the jacket riding up when you reach for the bars.
