Explorer Jacket Olive (J3003)

A touring jacket that does not look like one. The Explorer keeps the shape and character of a classic waxed cotton jacket, but underneath it carries the full safety package you want on a long day in the saddle. Olive is the quiet option in the range: it wears in rather than out, and it hides road dust better than almost any other colour.

Protection you can rely on

The Explorer is certified to the highest AAA class of EN 17092-2:2020, the current European standard for motorcycle apparel. That rating comes from the two-layer construction: a cotton twill outer shell backed by a full XTM-Fiber lining that absorbs abrasion energy in a slide.

Level 1 protectors for shoulders and elbows are included in the box and sit in dedicated internal pockets. All three positions – shoulders, elbows and back – are XTM protector ready, so you can move up to Level 2 protectors or add a back protector whenever you want more coverage.

Weather protection

The outer fabric is tightly woven cotton twill treated with an inner beeswax coating. It blocks wind effectively and resists water up to a 900 mm water column, which is enough for showers and damp morning starts without turning the jacket into a plastic bag. The front zip is backed by a wind flap, and the reinforced stand-up collar keeps draughts off your neck at speed. Multi-stretch panels let the jacket move with you rather than pull across the shoulders in a riding position.

Details that matter on the road

Four patch pockets sit on the outside, closed with flat YKK press studs. The two lower double pockets add side zips, so you can keep your phone or wallet secure while the flap pocket stays quick to reach. Inside there are two more zipped pockets, left and right. The cuffs adjust to close over gloves or sit flat under them, and the sleeves are cut long with a straight shoulder so nothing rides up when you reach for the bars.
